On May 5, 2015 the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) adopted mandatory emergency regulations that call for further reductions to meet the Governor’s recent Executive Order mandating a statewide 25% water use reduction. The SWRCB has targeted the District to reduce water production by *36% between June 2015 to February 2016 or face fines up to $10,000 a day.  In response to the Governor’s Executive Order and SWRCB mandates, the District will enforce the following water use program regarding pools, spas, and ornamental fountains:

    • All swimming pools, spas, and ornamental fountains/pools using District water shall be equipped with a re-circulation pump and maintained leak free. The “dump and fill” practice of swimming pool maintenance is prohibited. No filling of swimming pools, ornamental fountains, water features, or ponds allowed, except to maintain levels or for public health and safety purposes.

Customers who are planning to drain their pool, spa, or ornamental fountain for health and safety purposes are required to fill out and submit the approval form below.  Upon receipt of the approval form, the District will contact the customer regarding the application.
