Carmichael Water District Is Here To Assist You With Your Water Bill

With the expiration of the Governor’s Water Shutoff Moratorium on February 15, 2022, Carmichael Water District (District), the District will be reinstating its collections shutoff processes effective June 1, 2022. This means that we will be resuming the assessment fees for past due notices, door hanger notifications, and shutoff/disconnection/reconnection processes.  The District encourages all customers who are unable to pay their past due balance in full, to contact the office to discuss their options prior to receiving past due fee assessments.

Beginning May 2022, the State will be offering a Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP), which will be administered through the California Department of Community Services and Development (CSD). For more information on LIHWAP and to learn more about the eligibility requirements, visit their website at: csd.ca.gov/waterbill.
