On June 24th, 2021 at 7:00 p.m., the Carmichael Water District (District) will be conducting a public hearing to present its 2020 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) and Water Shortage Contingency Plan (WSCP) at the District office at 7837 Fair Oaks Boulevard, Carmichael, CA, 95608. California law requires water providers to develop these plans every 5 years, which explains in detail how projected water demands during average and drought years will be met. It also identifies planned future investments in conservation and water supplies.
Members of the public are invited to participate in the public hearing and provide public comment on the plans. Public comments may be given during the public comment period at the meeting, and/or submitted in writing via email, hand delivered or can be mailed. Written public comments must be received by 4:00pm, Thursday June 24, 2021. Upon conclusion of the public hearing, the Board of Directors of the District may revise, modify, and/or adopt the plans.
