Once every five years an exemption will be granted on the property to a customer that has experienced an increase in the water bill resulting from a leak in their private plumbing system in accordance with the leak exemption criteria which can be found in the Water Leak Exemption Regulation.
Non-eligible exemption requests include but are not limited to:
Unattended or forgotten faucets and nozzles.
Faulty irrigation valves, timers, and systems.
Dripping faucets and other home maintenance items.
Water heater leaks may be considered depending on the nature of the problem.
